Battery Energy Storage Systems to TfNSW Carparks
Client: Sydney Trains
Duration: 6 Months
Date of Completion: September 2026
Value: $1.05m
Elecdata Australia was proud to be involved in the installation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across four Sydney Trains and Transport for NSW sites.
The project involved the installation of 21 battery systems, integrated with the existing solar systems located across the carparks. The new BESS installations allow excess solar energy to be stored and utilised when required, helping reduce reliance on the grid and maximise the use of renewable energy generated onsite.
Working across operational carparks presented a number of logistical and technical challenges, all of which were successfully managed by our team of skilled electrical tradespeople to deliver the project safely and efficiently.
Scope of works include:
-
Supply & Installation of 21 Batterey Energy Storage Systems (Across 4 Sites)
-
Integrations of BESS with existing carpark solar PV Systems
-
Electrical Cabling, Connections & Associated infrastructure
-
COMMS Cabling & Remote E-Stop buttons
-
Metering and Distribution Boards
